FIELD: metallurgy, namely plants for billet continuous casting with use of electromagnetic effort acting upon metal.

SUBSTANCE: working walls of mold are secured to plates of non-magnetic steel separately dismounted from mold housings. Lead connection wire of each winding are placed in lead box and connected to terminals of quick-release connections placed in box. Lead box is protected against water splashes and it is mounted in outer side of lid. Other terminals of quick-release connections are connected with flexible cable of winding power source placed in compartments and in grooves of duct protected against water splashes and formed in walls of water cooled frame along the whole perimeter of mold. At outlet of said duct lead box protected against water splashes and housing quick-release connections whose terminals are connected with cable of winding power source and with cables supplying power to mold, is mounted.

EFFECT: reduced electric energy consumption, enhanced efficiency of machine, shortened time period for regrinding working walls, improved operational reliability.
