FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to devices for electromagnetic mixing of molten metals in foundry. In the device, the electromagnetic field inductor is made in the form of a frame with holes and vertical posts installed in pairs opposite each other on each side along the longitudinal axis of the inductor. Magnetic conductor of the device is fixed between vertical posts and consists of yoke and at least four teeth, each of which is located between vertical posts forming the corresponding pair. Device comprises coil units, each of which is arranged between adjacent pairs of vertical posts with corresponding teeth, wherein each coil assembly consists of individual coils tightened by pins by means of external jaws and remote bridges made of electrically insulating material. Each unit of coils is fixed on the frame between vertical posts by means of at least four clamps installed in pairs in opposition to each other on each side of inductor in corresponding adjacent vertical posts for each unit of coils. Magnetic conductor tie-rod is a common core for coil units. Note here that every coil unit is covered from above by casing that serves to direct cooling medium to conductors of coils fed via frame holes.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of mixing and increased operational reliability of electromagnetic system of device.
