FIELD: metallurgy, possibly rolling strips in continuous wide strip rolling mills.
SUBSTANCE: process comprises steps of heating slabs up to austenization temperature; further multi-pass rolling of strips at normalized temperature of rolling end stage; cooling strips by water and coiling it. According to invention in last pass strip is rolled at percentage reduction 8 - 17% at circumference velocity of rolls 5 - 10 m/s and at rolling end temperature 820 - 880°C. Strip is water cooled until temperature 510 - 570°C.
EFFECT: improved strength properties of metal at keeping its high ductility and stable viscosity due to forming optimal microstructure of hot rolled strips.
