SUBSTANCE: invention describes anthrapyridone compounds of the general formula: wherein R means (C₁-C₄)-alkyl; Y means amino-group; X means -NH-A-NH- wherein A represents (C₁-C₆)-polymethylene, xylylene, dicyclohexylmethylene possibly substituted with methyl in cyclohexyl moiety, or their salts, and an aqueous composition of purple ink based on thereof. Purple ink comprising indicated anthrapyridone compounds possesses chromatic tones and brightness suitable for jet printing and give images possessing the excellent stability with respect to light, gas and water.

EFFECT: improved and valuable properties of compound and composition.
