FIELD: chemical technology, in particular cellulose esters useful in production of plastics, films, lacquers, bioactive materials, etc.
SUBSTANCE: claimed method includes wood treatment with acylation mixture containing acetic acid and thionyl chloride, isolation of target product with polar solvent and drying. Acylation mixture is prepared by dissolution of aminoacetic acid in amount of 0.02-0.04 per 1 g of wood in trifluoroacetic acid followed by thionyl chloride addition.
EFFECT: enhanced assortment of cellulose esters.
