SUBSTANCE: method involves providing double-sided scutching of yarns clamped in layer and moving said yarns along processing zone; simultaneously providing cyclic displacement of layer portions by predetermined value relative to claming line, said displacement of layer portions being double-sided and being performed in the vicinity of clamp during the entire period of processing. Displacement value and width of displaceable portions may vary depending on properties of yarns under process.
EFFECT: reduced content of woody fiber in mid portion of yarns of crude material under process.
