FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: method involves interaction of alkyl(benzyl)allene of the general formula (R-=.=) wherein R means n-C5H11, n-C6H13, -CH2Ph with EtMgBr, Mg, Cp2TiCl2, iodobenzene and CuCl in argon atmosphere, in tetrahydrofuran (THF) medium. The total reaction time is 18-22 h. The total yield of final substances is 61-80%. Invention provides the development of the selective method for synthesis of 1,6-dialkyl(benzyl)-2,5-diphenyl-1,5-hexadienes.
EFFECT: improved method of synthesis.
