FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed composite device designed for protecting power transformers and static capacitor banks of 6- to 220-V insulated-neutral networks against internal overvoltages depends for its operation on interaction between specially developed protective-gear components, special power transformer, arc-control reactor, three-phase potential transformer for ground detection in power supply bus system, and single-phase potential transformer in capacitor bank neutral with variable conditions of neutral grounding. It has power transformer, reactor, shunt resistor, shunting switching device, grounding switching device incorporating control circuit, ground resistor, single-phase potential transformer, and current transformer, as well as newly introduced neutral ground switching device incorporating control circuit, neutral ground resistor, substation capacitor bank, and neutral capacitor switching device with series-connected circuit; one current transformer is connected to substation capacitor bank neutral and other one, to high-voltage winding neutral in potential transformer designed for detecting ground fault in power supply bus system of substation.
EFFECT: enhanced operating reliability of protective device.
