FIELD: dinner service, in particular, table ware.

SUBSTANCE: tea pot has body with spout and continuous annular step in filling opening where cover is fixed. Cover comprises base, head located in its upper part, skirt arranged in its mid portion and cylindrical protrusion arranged in its lower part and provided with two catches on its outer opposite side walls at end. All the junctions of cover parts with body members are equipped with gaps providing free movement of cover within tea pot body necessary for locking of catches with tea pot body. Catches provided on cover are made of different length, with length of smaller catch being equal to gap between outer diameter of cover and diameter of filling opening in body and length of larger catch being greater than said gap. Smaller catch is automatically locked with step in filling opening of body, when cover slides along protrusion toward body spout by value equal to said gap owing to gravitational force during initial inclining of tea pot upon pouring of liquid. In order to orient cover at initial setting by smaller catch toward spout at top part of cover, markings are applied to top part of body in the vicinity of spout and to cover in zone above smaller catch. According to second version, tea pot is additionally provided with open cylindrical flexible ring tightened within cylindrical step in cover, said ring being provided with catches of different length.

EFFECT: simplified construction and maintenance of tea pot.
