FIELD: aeronautical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed aircraft has fuselage 1, wing 2 and tail unit 3. Power plant 4 includes tractor propeller 5, motor-generator set, gearbox, air intake 8, air intake passage, exhaust unit and cruise engine. Cruise engine consists of air-driven turbine, vortex chamber and turbo-compressor mounted on air-driven turbine shaft. Propeller shaft and motor-generator set shaft are connected through gearbox with air-driven turbine shaft. Vortex chamber is mounted in cruise engine body between air-driven turbine and turbo-compressor. Air intake passage is connected to turbo-compressor inlet; turbo-compressor air outlet is connected to vortex chamber inlet; vortex chamber outlet is connected to air inlet of air-driven turbine and air outlet of air-driven turbine is communicated with atmosphere through exhaust unit.
EFFECT: increased duration of flight due to reduced consumption of fuel.
