FIELD: chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technological methods for synthesis of phenol-formaldehyde resins. Invention describes a method for preparing bakelite lacquer involving synthesis of phenol-formaldehyde resin by mixing phenol, formaldehyde and magnesia or magnesium oxide and condensation of mixture that is carried out by preliminary mixing formaldehyde solution with catalyst and the following addition of phenol in the molar ratio formaldehyde solution : phenol = 1.5-1.6, and in the molar ratio catalyst : phenol = 0.1-0.2 followed by heating the mixture to temperature 35-40°C, maintenance of temperature in mixture during the condensation process in the range 65-75°C up to achievement of the refraction coefficient value 1.59-1.60, the mixture drying and the following dissolving the prepared phenol-formaldehyde resin in ethyl alcohol. Invention provides improving physicochemical properties, in particular, adhesion to glass fiber. Invention can be used in preparing bakelite lacquer designated for using as a binding agent in producing composition materials.
EFFECT: improved preparing method.
