SUBSTANCE: method of preparing low-freezing-point liquid involves preparation of an aqueous alkaline and an aqueous glycolic solution and their mixture and stirring the obtained mixture for not less than one hour while maintaining temperature of 50…55°C. The aqueous alkaline solution is prepared by adding distilled water at temperature of 50…55°C into an aqueous solution container and, while maintaining this temperature, blending a dye and a base for 0.5 hours, blending sodium hydroxide and a base for 1.5 hours, blending sodium metasilicate and a base for 1 hour, blending potassium nitrate or saltpeter with a base for 1 hour and blending sodium nitrite and a base for 1 hour. The aqueous glycolic solution is prepared by adding ethylene glycol and distilled water into the aqueous glycolic solution container at 50…55°C and, while maintaining this temperature, blending sodium hydroxide and a base for 1.5 hours, blending borax and a base for 1 hour, blending benzoic acid and a base for 1 hour and blending polymethylsiloxane and a base for 0.5 hours. The following ratio of components is maintained, wt %: ethylene glylcol 91.80, benzoic acid 3.49, sodium hydroxide 1.30, sodium nitrate 0.21, potassium nitrate 0.05, borax 1.04, sodium metasilicate 0.107, polymethysiloxane 0.001, dye 0.002, distilled water 2.00.
EFFECT: low-freezing-point liquid for use at low temperatures to -40°C.
