FIELD: aero-engine manufacturing.
SUBSTANCE: proposed steam-turbine engine is made on base of turboprop engine operating on liquid hydrogen with use of steam-gas technologies. Water is used as additional working medium in steam-turbine engine, water being liberated from combustion products by means of freezing chamber installed in engine output device. Cold-retaining capacity of fuel (liquid hydrogen) is used for cooling exhaust gases to freezing temperature (condensing of water) and at boosting of engine, also cold-retaining capacity of atmosphere.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of engine in flight and at boosting.
