FIELD: chemical industry; methods of production of the high purity magnesium nitrate hexahydrate from the technical solution of magnesium nitrate.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the method of production of the high purity magnesium nitrate hexahydrate from the technical solution of magnesium nitrate. The method of production of the high purity magnesium nitrate hexahydrate from the technical solution of magnesium nitrate includes preliminary purification of the technical solution with separation of the sediment impurities from the solution, a crystallization of magnesium nitrate from the purified solution and separation of the sediment from the solution. Purification of the technical solution is realized by introduction in it of the solution of barium nitrate and-or barium hydroxide with the subsequent mixing of suspension, alkalization of the suspension with magnesium oxide and-or hydroxide at stirring action, separation of the sediment of the impurities from the purified solution and concentration of the purified solution of magnesium nitrate, crystallization of magnesium nitrate hezahydrate with the seeding agent by cooling and-or evaporation of the concentrated solution in vacuum with the operation of stirring action of the suspension crystallizate and the subsequent water flushing action of the magnesium nitrate hexahydrate at separation of the sediment from the liquid phase. Invention allows to produce the high purity magnesium nitrate hexahydrate.

EFFECT: the invention ensures production of the high purity magnesium nitrate hexahydrate.
