METHOD FOR OPERATIVE TREATMENT OF SUPPURATIVE EPITHELIAL COCCYGEAL TRACT Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC A61B17/04 

FIELD: medicine, surgery.

SUBSTANCE: one should dissect epithelial coccygeal tact and its branches, fulfill needle's puncture in and puncture out at the distance of 5 mm against the edge of wound, apply ligatures along the bottom through a sacro-coccygeal ligament so, that the pairs of ligatures are developed at the distance of about 5-7 mm against each other, in the pair ligatures are parallel to each other, the distance between the pairs along the wound corresponds to about 13-15 mm. While tightening the suture it is necessary to descend wound's ends up to the bottom to tighten the ends of ligatures' pairs together from every side of the wound to develop longitudinal cutaneous part of the suture. One should cut one end of the ligature, apply a gauze filter cloth between wound's edges, above this filter cloth tighten the rest ends of ligatures crosswise between neighboring pairs, change filter cloths till the end of exudation out of the wound and remove the filter cloth finally. The edges of the wound should be brought together till their coincidence to tighten the suture and the ends coming from longitudinal cutaneous part of the suture at developing a transverse cutaneous part of the suture. The innovation enables to avoid tissue's cutting through.
