SUBSTANCE: method comprises introducing the anti-turbulent admixture into the flow to generate Toms effect. The critical Reynolds number above which the Toms effect is generated is determined from the equation Re ≥ Recr = (25.5d2RT/ν2ρMη)0.571, where Re is the Reynolds number of the flow, Recr is the critical Reynolds number above which the Toms effect is generated, d is the diameter of the pipeline, ν is the kinematical viscosity, R is the universal gas constant, T is the temperature, ρ is the density, M is the molecular mass of the polymer, and η is the characteristic viscosity.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
