FIELD: search-and-rescue systems.

SUBSTANCE: method involves placing recording device groups in coastal zone, connecting them to terrestrial stations for receiving and processing signals. Signals received from the recording devices are interpreted in terms of tsunami wave threat risk. The device has recording unit, radio buoy, communication satellite-repeater and terrestrial station for receiving and processing signals. The recording unit has body, cover, bottom, bases, rigidity ribs, discharge conduit, auxiliary connection, sectors, openings, anemometers and communication cable, filling level indicator, anchors, sea bottom and wire braces. The radio buoy has OR-gate, the first, the second and the third threshold unit, the first, the second and the third relay, power supply source, multivibrator, multivibrator relay, resister and transmitter. The transmitter has master clock, modulating code oscillator, phase manipulator, telegraph key, power amplifier, and transmitting antenna. The terrestrial station has receiving antenna, heterodyne, mixer, intermediate frequency amplifier, phase-shift keyed signal selector, the first and the second spectrum analyzer, phase doubler, comparison unit, threshold unit, delay line, honker, key, the first and the second narrow-band filters, phase halver, phase detector and recording unit.
