FIELD: mechanical engineering; turbines.

SUBSTANCE: proposed device to supply cooling air to working blades of turbine wheel contains air space limited by rear wall of nozzle assembly and communicating through preliminary air swirling devices with ring mixing chamber formed by ring base of rear wall of nozzle assembly, inner ring aligned with said wall and bottom and communicating with space at working blades. Preliminary swirling devices are made in from of through holes in ring base of rear wall of nozzle assembly. Entry of through holes through ring base of rear wall of nozzle assembly into mixing chamber is arranged at bottom of said mixing chamber.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of cooling of thermally and dynamically stressed of turbine wheel, increased strength of units and parts in field of centrifugal and thermal loads.
