FIELD: building, particularly production of building materials used for residential building, cottage and industrial structure erection.

SUBSTANCE: block comprises upper and lower bed surfaces, ends and longitudinal sides. The block has through vertical orifices communicated with longitudinal slot from the first block side. The longitudinal slot terminates at block ends so that the slot is symmetrical about central longitudinal block axis coinciding with axes of orifices made in upper and lower bed surfaces thereof. Additional longitudinal slots are created in upper and lower bed surfaces outside orifice zones. Orifice cross-sectional area is 0.12-0.15 of that of block. Facets are made in upper and lower bed surfaces and extending along block ends. The facets connect longitudinal slots. The orifices are adapted to receive vertical rods so that the rods pass through adjacent orifices in staggered order. Block production method and wall erection method are also disclosed.

EFFECT: reduced material consumption, decreased labor inputs for wall erection, increased easiness of wall erection operations.
