FIELD: marine engineering; designing deep-sea drifting vehicles and naval weapons.
SUBSTANCE: proposed depth stabilization unit includes control system connected with pressure sensor, storage battery and electric motor switch mechanically connected with hydraulic pump. Plunger-type hydraulic pump is provided with valve distributor and pipe line communicated with outside medium and ballast chamber which is also communicated with outside medium through first solenoid-operated valve fitted with throttling unit. Mounted in parallel with ballast chamber is hydraulic cylinder provided with piston resting against elastic base. Under-piston space is communicated with outboard medium through second solenoid-operated valve. Solenoid-operated valves are connected with control system.
EFFECT: increased duration and depth of drift; effective functioning at repeated submergence-drift-surfacing cycles.
