FIELD: methods of conversion of coal in presence of air and water vapor.
SUBSTANCE: coal is subjected to conversion by burning. Use is made of two fluidized-bed reactors and third transfer linear reactor. Particles of coal or "semi-coke" are fed to first reactor and are subjected to fluidizing by high-temperature water vapor; second reactor is fluidized by high-temperature water vapor and third reactor is fluidized by compressed air. Solid particles circulating among these reactors include mixture of materials containing calcium compounds (which are present in form of CaO, CaCO3 and their mixtures) and iron compounds (which are present in form of FeO, Fe2O3 and their mixtures). Coal is gasified by water vapor in first reactor in presence of CaO for obtaining CaCO3 and hydrogen. Reaction of CaCO3 for reduction to CaO and reaction of coal and/or semi-coke from coal with Fe2O3 for forming FeO and carbon dioxide are conducted. Third reactor is used for oxidation of FeO to Fe2O3 and for obtaining oxygen-depleted air. Specification gives description of apparatus for performing this method.
EFFECT: facilitated procedure of process.
