METHOD FOR SURGICAL CORRECTION OF COMPLICATED PARARECTAL FISTULAS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2290881 C2

FIELD: medicine, coloproctology.

SUBSTANCE: the present innovation deals with surgical treatment of patients at chronic paraproctitis. It is necessary to dissect fistulous tract from outside towards inside up to submucous layer of anal canal; through internal fistulous opening from mucosal side one should introduce a probe supplied with an olive, the foundation of which is located at the angle of 75-85° against the line of the probe's rod; The latter has got hollows being proximally the juncture of the rod and the olive. Then one should tighten ligature at the level of the rod's hollow by fixing fistulous stump's mucosa; fistula should be dissected being distally against the probe to invert fistulous stump into rectal lumen, from the side of anal canal one should apply a clamp of "shape-memory" effect onto the stump's foundation beyond the probe. Muscular layer and sphincter's fibers should be reconstructed due to continuous suturing in with blanket sutures with the help of titanium nickelide ligature of 90 mcn diameter. The innovation enables to considerably simplify the technique of operation, prevent post-surgical complications such as rectal sphincter system failure and disease relapses and, also, purulent-inflammatory complications due to increasing biological hermetic sealing of rectal mucous and muscular membranes.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of correction.
