METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF THE OPEN-POROUS GLASS-CARBONIC MATERIAL Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC C01B31/00 C04B35/524

Abstract RU 2291103 C2

FIELD: chemical industry; methods of production of the open-porous glass-carbonic materials.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the chemical technology and can be used for production of the chemical-resistant porous electrodes, the filtering materials, the bubblers, the diaphragms, the adsorbents, the heating elements of the heat-exchanging devices. The binder represented by the liquid thermoreactive phenol-formaldehyde resin and the porophore represented by the oxalic acid in the form of its saturated solution in the polyol are mixed at the mass ratio of the resin and the porophore as 1: (1.5÷3). The produced mixture is hardened, dried, loaded in the container and placed in the electric furnace. Conduct the carbonization without the air access at the constant withdrawal of the formed pyrolysis products and the uniform rise of the temperature from the room temperature up to 1500-2500°C with the rate of 2-10°C per a minute. The mixture is kept at the end temperature for 20-40 minutes with the subsequent natural cooling up to room temperature. After the mixture solidification it is possible to extract the porophore and to conduct drying. The produced glass-carbonic material has the specific surface of 600 m2/g, the improved filtering properties due to improvement the structural characteristics and formation of the secondary nanoporous structures of the components of the micro-spherical fragments, the diminished specific electrical resistance, and it is well- manufacturable.

EFFECT: the invention ensures production of the glass-carbonic material with the great specific surface, improved filtering properties and structural characteristics, formation of the secondary nanoporous structures of the components of the micro-spherical fragments, reduction of the specific electrical resistance and it is well- manufacturable.
