CHARGE FOR PRODUCTION OF THE FOAMED GLASS Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC C03C11/00 

FIELD: glass industry; building industry; production of the foamed glass.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of production of the foam materials and may be used in production of the foamed glass. The technical result of the invention consists in the utilization of the cullet (the container glass) and the wastes of the sugar production (WSP) at production of the foamed glass. The charge for production of the foamed glass is prepared by the joint fine crushing of the cullet (the container glass) with the WSP in the ball mill. The prepared charge is placed in the molds, which are preliminary slashed by the kaolin suspension with the subsequent thermal treatment at the temperature of 850°C. Then the produced foamed glass is extracted from the molds and sent for the annealing in compliance with the earlier known temperature modes for the annealing of the foamed glass. After the annealing the foamed glass is subjected to the mechanical working to obtain the precise geometrical dimensions. The charge for production of the foamed glass consists of the cullet and the waste of the sugar production (the gasifier), injected in amount of 3 mass % and containing in its composition carbon-containing and carbonate components at the following ratio of the components (in mass %):calcium carbonate CaCO₃ - 50 %, calcium oxide CaO - 30 %, the organic components - 20 %.

EFFECT: the invention ensures utilization of the cullet (the container glass) and the wastes of the sugar production (the gasifier) used in production of the foamed glass.
