FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of inorganic and heat-insulating materials and discloses a method of producing foamed glass. Method involves production of crushed scrap glass of following composition in wt.%: SiO2 – 72.0 ± 7.0; Na2O – 13.0 ± 2.0; CaO – 10.0 ± 2.0; MgO – 4.0 ± 2.0; Al2O3 – 1.0 ± 0.5; SO3 – 0.2 ± 0.1; K2O – 0.3 ± 0.1; Fe2O3 ≤0.2, containing particles with size of less than 40 mcm, adding to ground cullet water solution of calcined soda and glycerol, stirring, holding obtained mixture, subsequent drying at temperature of less than 200 °C to obtain mixture with moisture content of not more than 1 %, disagglomeration including mixture stirring with sulfur to produce charge with particle size less than 40 mcm, subsequent dosing, placing into mold, foaming, fixation, extraction, annealing and cooling of obtained foamed glass.
EFFECT: high efficiency of the method of producing foamed glass with a homogeneous porous texture, high strength, low water absorption and heat conductivity.
