SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of the chemical industry, petrochemical industry, natural gas industry and may be used at extraction or concentration of the target components from the multi-component gaseous mixture, for example, extraction of helium from the natural gas. The selectively-permeable diaphragm (1) dividing the field of feeding of the mixture (3) and the field of separation of the mixture components (4) is arranged in the adsorption pipe (2) and made in the form of the granules layer (5)out of the material adsorbing the accompanying product and gating through the main product - helium. The granules are filled in with the hollow closed balls (6), which walls are made out of the material gating through and keeping inside only the target product. The method of separation of the gas mixture containing helium provides for gating the gas mixture through the layer of the diaphragm components - the granules filled with the hollow closed balls up to their complete saturation by the target product and extraction of the target product by reduction of the pressure and the rise of the temperature in the space between the granules. The invention allows to raise the efficiency and the quality of separation of the multi-component gaseous mixture containing helium, with extraction of the target product - helium.

EFFECT: the invention ensures the increased efficiency and the quality of separation of the multi-component gaseous mixture containing helium and to improve extraction of the target product - helium.
