FIELD: transport engineering; tire mounting.
SUBSTANCE: method comes to mounting and fastening of tire in tire mounter, separation of tire bead from rim, first from one side, and then from other side, shifting of tire to smaller diameter of rim and release of tire from rim. Wheel is secured with outer side upwards so that wheel nipple is arranged opposite to press-off tool of tire mounter, tire bead is forced off through half of its diameter, wheel is turned over and tire bead is forced off from other side over entire diameter. Wheel is re-installed with outer side upwards and manually, using tire lever, remaining half of tire is forced off from rim, and shifting of tire to smaller diameter of rim is done using split ring and fastening of wheel on tire mounter for mounting is provided by preliminarily fitting bosses on fastener of tire mounter.
EFFECT: prevention of deformation of tire and wheel rim, facilitated demounting of tire.
