FIELD: distant space, radio-relay, and satellite microwave communication systems, antenna-feeder assemblies of radio telescopes.

SUBSTANCE: proposed feed system has horn feed and its excitation devices. High-frequency excitation device is connected to horn feed at butt-end and low-frequency devices are coupled with horn feed through coupling slits in its side surface at sections whose diameter is close to critical diameter of main operating wave of respective low-voltage excitation device. Each low-voltage excitation device has two slit exciters, each one incorporating two longitudinal coupling slits. The latter are orthogonal to each other and symmetrical to plane crossing slit exciter axis. Slit exciters are interconnected by means of waveguides connected to matching and filtering components of coupling slits. One of slit exciters of each low-voltage excitation device is connected to orthogonal-polarization conversion and division device that functions to transmit definite orthogonal polarization signals to two output waveguides. Slit exciters can be disposed coaxially or their axes can be relatively offset so that these axes are parallel to each other, or these slit exciters can be interconnected by rectangular waveguides incorporating means for turning polarization plane made, for instance, in the form of twisted joint, or by coaxial waveguides.

EFFECT: enhanced power efficiency, simplified design, and reduced size of antenna feed.
