FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for automatic and repeated balancing of rotors of machines and mechanisms. Proposed device has balancing chamber installed on rotor and partially filled with low-melting substance. Walls of chamber can catch light energy, convert it into thermal energy and transmit to low-melting substance which melts and, at rotation of rotor at supercritical speed, accumulates at side opposite to unbalance, thus balancing the rotor.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of rotor balancing.
