FIELD: measuring technique.
SUBSTANCE: ion counter comprises aspiration ion chamber provided with air-blowing chamber, four electrodes arranged in the housing in series, power source, and two measuring units. The electrodes are made of a stack of electrically and mechanically connected parallel plates or coaxial cylinders of different diameters. The common buses of the power source and the first measuring unit are connected with the housing of the ion chamber, and the second measuring unit is connected between the third electrode and the output of the power source. The first electrode is connected with the housing of the chamber, the second electrode is connected with the input of the first measuring unit, and the fourth electrode is connected with the output of the power source. The length of the second and third electrodes is at least two times larger than the width of the space between the plates or cylinders.
