FIELD: railway transport; construction and repair of railways.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of tools of tie-tamping machines. Proposed tool of tie-tamping machine has rod whose lower end is made in form of blade provided with projecting teeth made of hard-alloy material rigidly fastened relative to blade either owing to fixing of tooth root in blade slot, or fixing of projection of blade in tooth slot. Teeth of blade are made with mushroom-shaped head relative to tooth root of without mushroom-shaped head relative to tooth root. When making tooth with mushroom-shaped head, shape of tooth head is chosen from group including cylinder, cone, pyramid and form of chisel. When making tooth without mushroom-shaped head relative to tooth root, shape of head is chosen from group including pyramid and form of chisel.
EFFECT: improved reliability of protection of blade and rod of tool from abrasive wear and impact loads, preservation of stable geometry of tool during entire period of operation.
