FIELD: road building, particularly for pavement surface treatment and repair.
SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing cationic bitumen emulsion by mixing bitumen, emulsifier, inorganic acid and water; pouring above emulsion on pavement surface; applying mineral material on the surface and compacting thereof. The mineral material is crushed stone formed from reject material obtained during dry magnetic separation of iron-containing ore produced from Kursk magnetic anomaly of Mikhailovsky mining and processing complex and containing 19-32% of haematite. The emulsifier is introduced in amount of 1.7-2.2 kg/t depending on haematite concentration in crushed stone. Mass ratio between bitumen emulsifier and crushed stone is 0.078-0.09.
EFFECT: increased strength and service life of pavement surface treatment means, reduced pavement costs along with decreased device cost.
