FIELD: building, particularly flooring.

SUBSTANCE: floor leveling device comprises screeds made as guiding means aligned to define floor plane and restricted from movement. Each guiding means comprises orifice formed from each side thereof. Adjusting bushes with rims abutting against side surfaces of guiding means are rotationally arranged in above orifices. The guiding means is also provided with the second orifice displaced with respect to outer diameter thereof and adapted to receive axle, which may perform vertical movement through slot. The slot is made in angle bar connected to surface to be leveled. The axle has annular extension, which may be inserted in groove of adjusting bush. Nuts are connected to each axle end. One nut fixes axle in vertical position by pressing annular extension thereof to angle bar. Another nut presses adjusting bush and guiding means to angle bar. Floor leveling method involves installing guiding means; filling gaps between guiding means with leveling mix and removing excessive mix with the use of leveling tool. The leveling tool is made as plate or angle bar having rectilinear edge and moving along guiding means. The guiding means are simultaneously installed in several rows over the full floor surface to be leveled. The guiding means are connected to the surface and may be height-adjusted. Each next row is displaced with respect to previous one. Gaps between guiding means are filled in staggered order. After gap filling the guiding means are demounted and the filled gaps are used to guide moving leveling tool.

EFFECT: increased accuracy of guiding means adjustment in vertical direction and improved guiding means fixation in predetermined position.
