METHOD OF AND DEVICE FOR FEEDING WORKING MEDIUM OF SPACECRAFT ENGINE PLANT Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC F02K9/44 F02K11/00

Abstract RU 2293200 C2

FIELD: aerospace engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to designing and operation of spacecraft rocket engine plants. Proposed method includes separated feeding of working medium into rocket engine from high-pressure bottle with output main line, and energy from its source, for instance, plasma source for interaction in jet engine during its operation. Novelty in proposed method is provision of interaction of working medium with additional energy source before getting into jet engine, electric heater being used as such energy source. System of working medium feeding of spacecraft engine plant includes high-pressure bottle filled with working medium and provided with output main line with restrictor, main line being connected to pressure reducing main line including service-connected starting-and-cutoff valve functionally coupled with control unit, pressure reducer and receiver installed before jet engine furnished with energy source, for instance, plasma one, separately feeding energy into engine, and temperature pickup, restrictor being made in form of electric heater coaxially installed in output main line and provided with threaded throttling joint of its outer surface with inner surface, and functionally coupled with control unit, output main line being furnished with external thermal insulation; receiver is made with ribbed through pipe from side of its space in which electric heater is installed functionally coupled through control unit with temperature pickup installed on receiver provided with external thermal insulation; output of additional pressure reducing main line is connected to receiver, said pressure reducing main line includes series connected starting-and-cutoff valve and pressure reducer made similar to those of main pressure reducing main line, and its input is connected between restrictor and starting-and-cutoff valve of main pressure reducing main line.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of operation of engine plant and reduction of its mass.
