FIELD: transport engineering; electrical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instruments and signaling devices of vehicles and it can be used for constant checking of state of ignition system and vehicle engine fuel system. Invention is aimed at determining number of engine cylinder to be subjected to close examination and sending information to driver in form of sound or optical action with indication of number of faulty cylinder in case of deviation from preset parameters. According to invention device, containing high-voltage pulse pickup, load pickup, beginning of counting pickup, switch, transient conditions determination circuit, beginning of counting determination circuit, engine camshaft speed determination circuit, fixed storage device, two analog-digital converters, two on-line storages, inverting summer, comparator, reset signal delay calculating unit, delay circuit (on RS-triggers) and signaling device, is furnished additionally with cylinders sequence-of-operation counter and switch, counter being connected with faulty cylinder No. indicator through switch operated by signal from comparator.

EFFECT: provision of continuous functional diagnosing of ignition system.
