FIELD: engine building.

SUBSTANCE: method is based on continuous measurement in engine operation cycle at multiple acceleration without load of instantaneous values of oxygen concentration in exhaust gases and inlet of inlet air path, determination of average values of measured values in engine operation cycle, when engine reaches specified ratio of rotation of relation of these average values, averaging of obtained value over multiple acceleration, comparing it with similar, characteristic for engine in normal technical condition, and by their difference making judgment on technical state of engine in general, similar to alternate measurement and processing of signals in sections of cylinders, as well as in ICE cycle, with the exception of controlled cylinder, in addition, with alternate disconnection of cylinders and based on the ratio obtained in each case, judging distribution of effective power on cylinders, similar measurements and processing of signals in stationary mode of full load and determination of technical state of engine as a whole and distribution of effective power in cylinders. Also disclosed is a device for determining technical condition of internal combustion engines.

EFFECT: invention relates to instrument making, in particular to determination of technical state of internal combustion engines by measurement in acceleration and in steady-state mode of full load of volumetric concentration of oxygen in operating conditions.
