FIELD: sanitary maintenance facilities for water supply systems in residential and other buildings.
SUBSTANCE: device is arranged in water intake tap body having smooth inner cylindrical section, threaded seating socket to secure valve with cutoff-and-starting slide and sealing pack. Tap body also has annular collar enclosing water inlet orifice and water discharge channel. Inner cylindrical section, threaded seating socket and annular collar are coaxial with each other. Device is made as metal-cutting tool comprising spindle with metal-cutting head adapted to cut faulty metal layer from annular collar end. Metal-cutting head diameter exceeds that of annular collar. Spindle consists of cylindrical section provided with cavity and tail to be connected with driving means. The spindle is installed in the body, may slide in axial direction and perform reversible rotation. Metal-cutting head is secured inside spindle cavity so that flat end surface of metal-cutting head is transversal to cylindrical spindle section. Outer cylindrical surface and spindle cavity are coaxial to smooth inner cylindrical section, threaded seating socket and annular collar of tap body. Cylindrical spindle section is made as cup with cylindrical or conical surface of the cavity. Spindle is installed in tap body in spaced-apart relation between cylindrical spindle section, smooth inner cylindrical section and threaded seating socket of tap body so that space not exceeding 0.1 mm is created in-between. Method of leak elimination with the use of above device is also disclosed.
EFFECT: extended range of sanitary maintenance facilities, simplified structure and increased usage convenience.
