FIELD: aerial bombs, applicable for twenty-four-hour and high-accuracy delivery of combat load to the ground.

SUBSTANCE: the aerial bomb uses an infra-red homing head as a guidance system, its spectral sensitivity band lies in the far infra-red band within 8 to 14 μm, which ensures combat operation in the conditions of dust and smoke of the battlefield. The design-aerodynamic arrangement of the aerial bomb is so made that the essential lifting aerodynamic surfaces and the low static stability are realized in it, which allows the low-power actuators of the electric drive with aerodynamic control surfaces of a small area to deflect the aerial bomb through considerable angles of attack thus providing for a high turnability of the aerial bomb. The fairing of the offered aerial bomb is made in the form of a metal hemisphere, in which 100 round holes with a clear aperture within 11.5 to 36 mm are realized and in which round flat plates, 5 to 8 mm thick, transparent in the far infra-red band. The transparency of the fairing in the spectral band within 8 to 14 μm is sufficiently high and makes up 0.8 to 0.85.

EFFECT: high accuracy and resultant efficiency of the aerial bomb are realized.
