FIELD: medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: device has point radiation source like gas-discharge lamp of extra-high pressure, mirror lens system for letting radiation enter light guide unit from fiber bundle having flat filed end faces. Light guide unit end is shaped as truncated cone for joining it to unit socket for transmitting radiation into vein. The unit for transmitting radiation into vein is designed as T-shaped unit. System for introducing infusion solutions is connected to lateral union of the T-shaped unit. The union coaxial with the socket is manufactured as Luer cannula connectable to injection needle or intravenous catheter. Cavity containing flowing solution is separated from the socket with tight partition transparent for ultraviolet and visible radiation.
EFFECT: simplified design; reduced risk of traumatic complications; enhanced effectiveness of treatment.
