FIELD: ferrous metallurgy; compositions of the charges for smelting the steel in the arc-furnaces.
SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular, to the composition of the charge for smelting the steel in the arc-furnaces. The charge contains the iron-carbon alloy at the following ratio of the components (in mass %): carbon - 2.0-4.0, manganese - 0.05-0.30, silicon - less than 0.01, chromium - less than 0.15, copper - less than 0.10, nickel - less than 0.10, sulfur - less than 0.030, phosphor - less than 0.030, arsenic - less than 0.008, titanium - less than 0.15, aluminum - less than 0.04, iron - the rest. The invention allows to reduce duration of the smelt and to improve the quality of the smelted steel due to reduction of the concentration of impurities of the non-ferrous metals.
EFFECT: the invention ensures reduction of the smelt duration, improvement of the quality of the smelted steel, reduction of the concentration of the non-ferrous metals admixture.
