FIELD: varnish-and-paint industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for preparing silicate paint suitable for use in construction to protect building socle and also in indoor finishing of rooms. Paint contains, wt %: soda liquid glass with density 1.33-1.35 g/cc, 23.0-25.0, urea 2.3-2.5, butadiene-styrene latex 18.0-22.0, chalk 14.0-20.0, talk 5.0-6.0, heat-and-power station waste (as pigment) 14.0-20.0, the rest being industrial formaldehyde-containing waste water as diluent. Heat-and-power station waste is, more particularly, flue ash in the form of fraction up to 50 μm.

EFFECT: increased covering power and hardness of coatings.
