FIELD: phase-failure protection of three-phase motors.
SUBSTANCE: proposed three-phase magnetic starter is assembled of two contactors of which one is single-contact contactor and other, double-contact one; or of three single-contact contactors which are interlocking one another by means of their contacts. In order to afford starting double-contact contactor or two of three single-contact contactors have starting coil and keep-alive one. Keep-alive or single coil of each of them is connected through symmetrical diode thyristor to prevent unwanted operations. Coils may be shorted out by capacitors.
EFFECT: simplified design, enhanced reliability of motor phase-failure protective gear.
