SUBSTANCE: proposed device designed for use in power lines to enhance quality standards in AC power systems by reducing level of switching surges caused by inrush currents when three-phase capacitor bank is switched over has three delta-connected capacitors with their intermediate vertex connected directly and extreme ones, through two electronic power switches built around bipolar pair of thyristors, to phase B and phases A, C, respectively,; it also has null detector, threshold element, four AND gates, delay circuit, control voltage supply, NOT gate, and charging module set up of series-connected resistor and thyristor; delay circuit can be have fixed phase shift through 180 el. deg.
EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities.
