FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: washing machine has casing, rotating drum, water tank incorporating rotating drum, door for opening and closing of casing opening, water tank opening communicating with casing opening, rotating drum opening communicating with casing opening and water tank opening, and flexible connection member for connecting casing opening to water tank opening. Connection member has part providing pressure contacting with door, when the latter is closed. Center of casing opening is upwardly offset relative to center of rotating drum opening, and angle of inclination of casing opening to vertical plane exceeds angle of inclination of drum opening to vertical plane. Door has outer part and inner part arranged at the outside and inner side of casing, respectively. Angle of inclination of outer part to vertical plane is equal to angle of inclination of casing opening to vertical plane. Door inner part has flat surface whose angle of inclination to vertical plane is equal to angle of inclination of drum opening to vertical plane.

EFFECT: simplified charging and discharge of cloths and maximally reduced area of idle zone within rotating drum.
