SUBSTANCE: device for protecting software of electronic computing programmable devices from unsanctioned usage is made in form of software-hardware device, containing, interconnected by information exchange means: interface for exchanging information with electronic computing programmable devices, processor or processor core, energy independent memory, made with possible recording and concealed storage in energy-independent memory of at least one functional fragment of software or programs and their following execution in process of functioning of processor or processor core, and software, hardware or software-hardware means of protection from reproduction, reading, copying, research or modification of functional fragments of software, programs or information stored in energy-independent memory. Method describes operation of aforementioned protection means.

EFFECT: increased level of aforementioned protection, reliability and efficiency of functioning of software of electronic computing programmable devices.
