SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the method of production of the rhodium sulfate powder in the chemical-metallurgical production of the platinum group metals and their compounds. The method includes production the initial cake by the thermal treatment of the mixture of the rhodium powder with the barium peroxide, lixiviation of the produced cake using the weak sulfuric acid, treatment of the pulp with the hydrogen peroxide solution, the filtration, separation of the barium sulfate sediment. After the initial cake lixiviation in the weak sulfuric acid conduct the filtration and separation of the barium sulfate sediment, then bring up the solution рН to the value 1.0-3.0 by introduction in it of the initial cake, whereupon conduct the treatment of the pulp with the solution of the hydrogen peroxide and separate the sediment, and the produced solution is evaporated and dried in the rotatory evaporator at the temperature of the heating up liquid in the bath of 120 - 160 °С. The technical result of the invention is production of the rhodium sulfate powders having the uniform chemical composition and coarseness.
