FIELD: construction of electrolyzer designed for electrolysis of brine for producing chlorine, hydrogen and caustic soda.
SUBSTANCE: diaphragm type monopolar electrolyzer includes electric current conducting anode bimetallic bottom, anodes and cathodes mounted in said bottom. Bottom is made of solid aluminum and titanium plates mutually joined by explosion welding. Electrically conducting plate of frame-recess of cathode is made by double-side forging out. Cathode bus is welded to housing by explosion method.
EFFECT: lowered power consumption for realizing process, increased electric current yield of target products of manufacturing cycle, reduced metal consumption for making electrolyzer.
