FIELD: designs of the diaphragm electrolyzers.
SUBSTANCE: the invention presents an improved design of the diaphragm electrolyzer and is dealt with a design of the diaphragm electrolyzer used for production of chlorine and alkali from aqueous solutions of alkali metals. The electrolyzer contains at least one anode fixed to the anodic base and being in an electrical contact with it by means of a skating rod, separated from an electrolyte circulating in the anodic section by the system of a hydraulic thickening containing at least one seal ring mounted in accordance with the indicated skating rod. The electrolyzer additionally contains an electroconductive and deformable contact element mounted between the indicated skating rod and the indicated anodic base. The seal ring is placed in the slot formed by the indicated anodic base and one containing element fixed on the indicated skating rod. The electrolyzer is distinguished for its heightened reliability.
