FIELD: medicine, endocrinology.
SUBSTANCE: under the control of ultrasound monitoring one should introduce kenalog into interfascial thyroid space. In case of hypoechogenic picture or at availability of cystic degeneration one should introduce 10 mg, at isoechogenic picture - 20 mg, and at hyperechogenic picture - 40 mg kenalog, once weekly, for 3 wk. Repeated courses should be carried out once or twice annually. At combining autoimmune thyroiditis and cysts these courses should be conducted in 3-4 mo after sclerosing thyroid neoplasms. Such method of differentiated therapy provides shortened terms of therapy and decreased number of side effects.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
