FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rail vehicles, particularly, to multipurpose rail cars for carrying road cars in two tiers. Proposed car had frame 1 with side posts 2 secured on frame and two-tier floor, both tiers are made with lowered part in side zone of rail car. Upper tier 4 is made detachable and it can be adjusted in height and secured by means of locking devices on side posts. Both tiers have three horizontal sections, central section 5, side sections 6 and two inclined sections 7 limited by zones of bending and overall dimensions of rail car. Zones of bending of inclined sections of upper tier are brought out of limits of space limited by zones of bending of corresponding inclined section of lower tier and normals to said sections passing through zones of bending.
EFFECT: provision of optimum ratio of rail car working space fill factor and stability of rail car.
